Hi everyone
I can't remember if it's a tip or in one of Michael's books I'm trying to find the story where its the opening day of a building and suddenly nothing is working and they get it up and running and they call and handyman plumber who comes out and hits something with a hammer and everyone is really happy a few days later a bill arrive for like $30k. the manager is not happy and demands an invoice thats say something like $10 for the loan of the hammer ?29990 for know where to tap
if anyone can point in the right I direction I'd appreciate it!
Thanks
Lenny

Hi Lenny,
I don't recall a version with an opening day of a building so can't help point you in that specific direction personally.
If
it's from a tip, have a look in the money section of the tip vault of the solutions cafe, it sounds like it'll be there.
I do know a similar version involving a steamship, an oldship maker, a hammer and a bill for ?10,000. That's in Paul Mckenna's Change your life in 7 days, which is edited by Michael.
Hope that helps

The steamship and Hammer story is also a part of the preference in "Frogs into Princes" By Richand Bandler and John Grinder edited By Steve Andreas-
There is an old story of a boilermaker who was hired to fix a huge steamship boiler system that was not working well. After listening to the engineers description of the problems and asking a few questions, he went to the boiler room. He looked at the maze of twisting pipes, listened to the thump of the boiler and the hiss of escaping steam for a few minutes, and felt some pipes with his hands. Then he hummed softly to himself, reached into his overalls and took out a small hammer, and tapped a bright red valve, once. Immediately, the entire system began working perfectly, and the boilermaker went home. When the steamship owner received a bill for $1,000 he complained that the boilermaker had only been in the engine room for fifteen minutes, and requested an itemized bill. This is what the boilermaker sent him:
For tapping with hammer: .50?
For knowing where to tap: $999.50
Total: $1,000.00
