Congratulations Michael on a very successful evening! When I saw the queue snaking around St. James's Church - there must have been 1,000 people - I was pleased I had booked online, especially after coming all the way from the Dorset coast.

Luckily (or should it be fearlessly), I found a front row seat and even managed to speak to you before settling down for an inspiring evening. I met some interesting people, including a stained glass artist and was impressed by your ability to melt the British reserve with good humour.

By the end of the evening, in my little section of the auditorium at least, it all got a little wild in the 'collecting no's' exercise. I got a proposal I absolutely had to say 'no' to and lots of very animated participants got slightly hysterical, but it was all in good fun and they all calmed down in the end.

I heard many positive comments on the way out and I look forward to the launch in September, in fact, I may just start today....

AmitiƩs,

Dear Michael - just to let you know, my 'impossible task' has shown possibilities, due largely, to your 'Effortless Success' CD.

To explain, my youngest son (in his thirties) stopped communicating with us about a year ago. Everything we did to try to improve things failed. He was close to his older brother, but he had the same negative, angry response. Presents were not acknowledged, special occasions were unmarked, phone calls were blocked and we were not welcome on personal visits.

His angst was directed mostly towards me as I worked to create a friendly relationship with the mother of his three year old son and her family. She and our son had been together for a short time and lived separately, but knew each other as teenagers; both are excellent parents. We live nearby in this area.

As you rightly say, 'problems with other people are always in the seeing' and he seemed to think we had, "taken her side against his", which is far from the truth. They are lovely people, the child is bright and well-cared for, he has lots of access and I feel we are very lucky.

Last week I wrote him a letter, using your concepts about the wall of silence and all we had to do was just start talking again. I told him I loved him - always had always will. His father asked him out for a drink, and after a difficult start, explained a few things. Our son suggested that I ring him (well, male ego and he is a Leo!), so last night I did. It was a very brief call, but I said I will call again later in the week. Just a beginning, I know, but spring follows even the harshest winter.

Many thanks again for your daily messages - I hope others will find this helpful.

Barbara
