Friends,
I was wondering if there's a term in NLP that refers to the process of making one small change in one's behavior each day that adds up to big changes over time.  (Perhaps this term IS "NLP!")  I know that such a concept is called kaizen in Japanese commerce, and we laypeople have been known to call them baby steps. What do you call this phenomenon?

Hi Jody

One term that we have that could fit such criteria is called “Generative change” and if built in to a session well would create a progressive set of incremental steps that world build in to a progressive feedback loop that would create a step by step push to making progress.

Hi Jody,

I teach this as Changing by Degrees. The idea being that if you take 2 parallel lines and change the direction of one by just a degree or 2 the distance between them grows over time so that before long the line is miles away from where it would have been had these small changes not been made.
Actually this explanation works better when you can draw something or wave your arms around Smiley

Hope this helps.

Thanks for chiming in, Jay and Tim. That's just what I needed.
