Hi Michael,
just to say thank you for putting this topic on show. I actually was going to post a request on this forum if you could set up a show for this, but now you have done it already and I am sooooo pleased!!! I won't dare to call in, even if I would wish to, but so far you have answered such a lot of my questions only through me listening to your shows, and often when I think I could phone in I already know what you would be saying....very helpful!
I SHOULD desperately loose weight, as I am clinically obese (since my earliest childhood). But I can't. I sort of tried it all and failed. And I don't really want to, because I have to. Since I was little every comment I got when I saw a relative after a time was about my weight (I don't have much contact to relatives nowadays, guess why...)
So weight loss being  FUN ! ? ! Lets be surprised. I have no idea what you are going to tell there.
And yes, if you would wave a magic wand and ask me if I would want to be slim - YES, I would, not thin (my grandmother always implied that thin people get ill and die early...that sort of stuck, and anyway I don't like too thin, but slim would be nice, really helpful for being able to go shopping for clothes and to go skiing etc)
I guess my whole brain needs to be restructured for me to be able to be slim....
How I am waiting for Thursday!!!

Hi ahg,

Welcome aboard! "Familiarity" can be such a bitch! Wink Make the call--dare to do something different! Dare to be who you want to be, not some nebulous "label" you've been wearing since childhood. Pick a fun new label to wear and try it on.

There is a powerful idea in NLP that goes something like, "What the 'thinker' thinks, the 'prover' proves." Whatever we think about, we will then start filtering our experience and sorting the incoming information to 'prove' our thoughts. Whatever label we choose to wear, it is all within our own control. Control your thoughts/beliefs/labels, and you control your destiny.

Now, I am being selfish in replying to your post. It is the potential for a great outcome that can make the radio show awesome, and you can make that happen. So, dare... I dare you... to call in Smiley. I'm pretty sure there isn't anyone on this board who wouldn't want to see you succeed.

With a sense of Adventure,

Clark
