Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on resources I could use to improve my social skills? It's a long story, but I don't feel I've had much of a social life for several years now and I seem to be really bad at sustaining conversations. Does anyone know of any books or other resources which would be good for helping me to develop my social skills?

Ideally I'd like to be able to listen to some sort of audio course with recorded examples of successful conversations but I'm not sure such a course exists. This might sound crazy, but are there any coaches on this forum who would be willing to record some example conversations if I paid them for coaching?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on the above.

Hi

I would recommend Peter Thomson's products- I would also consider looking into toastmasters as well..  http://www.nightingale.com/Auth_About~Author~Peter_Thomson.aspx

Hi,

not sure if there's an audio version, but regarding social/people skills, Dale Carnegies book "How to win friends and influence people" changed my life.

I used to be the one sitting in a corner at parties, watching the others having fun. Now I'm the one introducing and connecting people...

If I can do it, you can do it!
