Hi All

Being credit-crunched out, I have not been able to join Michael's program this month.  However, I still love the concept, and have decided to play along at home as it were!

Would anyone like to join me?  We could use the public forum here (hey maybe we'll save them from archival!)  Perhaps one caveat should be that you should own at least one of Michael's books (or all of them, like me!) and the same rules apply:
Quote
1. You must believe you have a less than 50% chance for success in the 30 days of the program.

2. You must be so passionate about what it is you want to create that you will be glad of any time you spend invested in creating it, regardless of how things turn out!

My impossible project is to double the amount of income I get for my cinema ticketing software by improvements and finding enough new clients in the UK.  I think it is impossible as I have other work commitments, a large family to involve myself in (a wife and 4 little ones under 5!), but it is something that I am most passionate about!

EDIT: Re-reading that it sounds pretty uninspiring (to me)! I had Michael's voice in my head saying, "No, what do you really want?"  What would be more inspiring to me would be to continue constantly improving my software for my current clients, adding value wherever possible (or impossible) and then simply telling as many people as possible (or impossible) what it is that I have developed and the value that it can bring them.  Now that's better, re-reading that put a smile on my face! :-D   Why does this seem impossible for me to achieve within 31 days?  On first inspection, the areas I am going to have to work on are Belief, Wellbeing, Other People, Time, and maybe just a teansy weensy bit of Fear!

So what do you all think?  Maybe, those of you who have not posted here before will join in, and we can all have a wonderful July!  Grin

If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

I want to join in too,

My impossible july would be
1. finishing all the odd jobs around the house that are driving me nuts
2. catch up on all the boring bookwork
3. create a job that works around my family
4. lose 15 more kgs.

So where & when do we start

Karen

Hi Richie

I know nothing about the world of cinema ticketing software and I think that's a good thing because I can offer the following advice...

... forget what your software actually does, sell me (well you're prospective customers) what it will give them.... Cinema Ticketing Software sounds dry to me, but everyone loves the movies, stories to relate to, the experience of seeing fantasy written large... think about changing your 'pitch' about what you do to to evoke people's passions about how what you do can ADD and enhance the experience people love and give them a little more magic in their lives...

... let me know what you come up with. Top tip: keep it to one sentence....

Hey rrrrrichie and Karen!

I love that you are gonna play anyway.  Wink

I'm one of the team playing on the inside and I thought I'd just step over and say hi and to give a word or two of encouragement and inspiration for dreaming big... REAL BIG!!

I just shared this story with Viv on another post:

I have a client who in June set an impossible goal to raise money for the dyslexia charity she founded (until now she has only ever focused on raising people's awareness). Her goal was to raise $500,000 in 90 days...

Well, within 48 hours she called me to say she'd raised $200,000!

So yesterday we worked on her IMPOSSIBLE GOAL for July - and she plans to raise $1.5 million in the next 27 days!

Nothing's Impossible!!  Cheesy

Love. Rich
