Hi, just a quick question: How do you decide on what you want? How come I find it so difficult? I read the second chapter on making a life that  goes WOW and I'm really struggling. There is definitely a tendency here to make wants shoulds. How do we prevent this?

Much appreciation for this site forum  Smiley

Hi Kristen

One thing that allows, goals setting to seem so hard; is that we make our goals to general, so it does not create the textualization, to create the wanton motivation to go for it.

Once we know what we want, our intention and mind set will find all the resources that are needed, to get to where we want to be.

We humans, have a complete mastery of over thinking, over analyzing, and over working, the pros and cons, of doing something worth while. Instead of, moving forward and making progress and this can and does loop back onto it’s self, and can create procrastination.

So lets look at how to how you decide what you wont.

Just imagine, in front of you have two small boxes, as you do this pay attention to how you feel, now in one box there is a key, and in the other there is a diamond ring, yet you don’t know, which box is holding which item.

Now pick the box, and as you do pay attention to the feelings, when you pick the box.

Now how did you know to pick that box?

Now lets cross-contextualize, jot down a list of things that you have wanted to do.

Now look at your list and pay attention to your feelings, and compare those feelings from the box game, to your list which one of them goals, from your list seems to fit the same feelings, you got from the box game?

And that’s one way of finding how to decide.

I hope that was helpful
