I moved from the UK to Australia 18 months ago and now everybody here tells me that the UK is the place to be as far as NLP is concerned...huh! 

Its happening here too though...although it would be even better if we could persuade Michael to come out this way!

Hello guys
i have missed you all!
For some reason i couldnt sign on, i tried and i tried and then i gave up.
Then this afternoon we were having a tropical storm and i decided to surf the web to take my mind off the scary thunder.  It was getting darker and darker, i logged on to my e mail  and had received  mail from Genius Catalyst, i clicked on the link and decided to try once more to sign on, after three attempts i was allowed on!  it felt like i had battered the door down! yippee!!!
The thunder has abated for a while and i am going to explore the forum to see what i have missed.

i have just noticed your post.
I moved to Brisbane last June from the UK.
I am also a  self employed remedial massage therapist. I work through an established business paying commission of 30%
i have nothing else to pay, no advertising, no oil, no towels etc., i just turn up and do the massages.
I have been at work today and completed 6 treatments.I am registered with the AAMT and have found that  most of my clients claim on their private health insurance which i have found to be a big plus in this country. Unlike the UK which doesnt usually cover this modality with private health insurance.
You might enjoy working in an established business and you can always swap a treatment with a collegue 
I spend quite a lot of time in melbourne doing NLP and have met a guy who has just bought a massage business somewhere in Melbourne.  He was after me working for him till he realised i live in Brissie! .
I could find out where abouts he is and if its commutable for you if you would like me to.

i have done hypnosis with her with excellent results on her fears but not with the smoking.
The idea of her needing a cigarette at the time may be the key!

How many of you have had a client who says they want to give up smoking and whatever you do they still smoke?
I am struggling to  'see or hear' any clues but after a session do not 'feel' 100% congruant that she will stop. I have included NLP techniques including reframe, hypnosis, applied kinesiology and EFT.

She has had fears of driving in the rain (its Australia and the rain is heavy!) lack of confidence with work and relationships and i have seen and heard how she has changed and is looking forward to her future and making plans.. and she has re-booked and recommended a friend.  So.... all is not lost
my intuition is that she isnt 100% congruent with giving up
If this is the case i wonder should i work on making her 100% congruent?

Any suggestions gratefully received

My friend Gill has now improved  so much that she  has enrolled herself on a NLP Prac course! 
....and she is still raving on your book Michael! 

Well done on writing an easy to read and understand book which through my friend Gill shows how powerful the words are.

He is seven not a year old as my heading implys..

Any suggestions on how i can help a seven year old boy who is anxious about lots of things and if finding trouble sleeping.  His parents have asked me to spend some time with him and i have a few ideas, ie: hypnosis and some nlp techniques such as circle of excellence, 6 step reframe. 
I wonder if any of you have experience working with children who could help in this case?

My very best friends husband died three years ago with a brain tumour.  I bought her Michale's book for her birthday in June this year just before i moved to Australia.

She has coped since her husbands death in a way... looking after the kids and everybody else and ignoring her own needs (well in my opinion) trouble is now she has reached the burn out point and is struggling to keep going.


I ring her most days and use nlp over the phone,  although i do get frustrated as i cant see her face i can tell from her voice how resourceful her state is.

I also trained in London with Michael, Paul and Richard and i then completed the Master Prac with Richard and John LeValle.  I am not sure about Richard but i believe John still lives in New Jersey and they hold courses in Florida which would be much nearer for you. 
If you look on the web you will find details, i think the website is www.purenlp.com but i could be wrong.
ps. I agree Michael is the best! 
and his enthusiasm rubs off on you.
I am now based in Australia and although i hold a certificate in hypnosis gained in the UK as well as one you get through the Master Prac, i am looking do do a diploma in hypnotherapy in this country.
