1  Genius Catalyst / Michael's Coaching Tips / MNCT-746 New Year, New Rules, part two on: January 03, 2011, 04:32:38 PM
Happy New Year Michael and Genius Catalyst Team!

I enjoyed parts one and two of 'New Year, New Rules'. I finally understand; meaning I now know what makes a thought powerful. Althought I've heard it various ways in my life I finally get it. From the church, "faith without works is dead", to the Science of Mind by Earnest Holmes "when we understand the Law, we learn to consciously embody what we wish," Pg. 142 and now Michael Neill "That’s because in and of themselves, thoughts have no power. It’s only when you invest your own energy and consciousness into them that they begin to become real. A thought without your personal investment is no more powerful than a tea bag without boiling water. It’s only after you add the water that the tea begins to infuse and create the flavor, and it’s only after you add your agreement and energy to a thought that it begins to impact your life." MNCT-745 New Year, New Rules part one; I understand the power is the belief behind the thought not the thought.

Consciously or subconsciously we give thoughts power by the 'rules of life' that are true and the one that we believe to be the truth. When we are able to adjust the rules we believe to be the truth/"created rules" by making them flexible to mirror life's true freedom, our life experience will improve.

Thanks Michael,
Electra

2  Genius Catalyst / Michael's Coaching Tips / MNCT - 736 Gateway to Wisdom on: October 27, 2010, 11:59:26 AM
Hi Michael,

Loved this week's tip! I've learned the importance of this when I transitioned from employee to self-employment. There is definitely a point in the process when you shift mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You move from relying on people to guide you to being still listening to the quiet deciding what you want, need and what you are willing to commit to doing. Listening to the silence can be a scary feeling because it is unknown and unfamiliar territory; especially when you are used to the noise – the chatter of others in your ear.

Thanks Michael for the reminder to release the fear of the unknown.

3  Genius Catalyst / Michael's Coaching Tips / MNCT 731 - The Swimming Pool of Revelation and the Bubbling Well of Consciousnes on: September 20, 2010, 12:06:38 PM
Hello Michael,

Thanks for this week’s tip. This was a great way for me to start the work week. Specifically reading “a deeper wisdom communicating with us by writing the answers to any question we could want answered in big bold letters at the bottom of the pool.  In order for us to "read" the answer from outside the pool, the water needs to be relatively still and quiet.  If there were people (thoughts) swimming around in the pool, we would have to wait for those swimmers to move on before we could clearly see.

Ironically, any effort we would make to dive into the pool ourselves to move those swimmers along would simply increase the turbulence in the pool and make it even harder to see what was written across the bottom.  It would only be after we got out of the pool that the water (mind) would have a chance to return to calm and we would be able to clearly see the message written by our own guidance and wisdom.”

I feel Yes, Yes, Yes, reading the above. I have learned the benefits of a quiet mind – I can hear the next step to take through my inner ear. But if I get too wrapped up in dismissing unwanted thoughts I actually helping those thoughts stick around longer. However, if I acknowledge my truth within myself refraining from adding to the ‘muck & mire’ then I am able to return to mental clarity sooner without force (and sometimes the purpose for the mental detour is revealed).

Thanks Michael for the confirmation,
Electra Ford

Hi Michael,

Thanks for yesterday's radio show - Mastering Fear! Being afraid of something has been of my challeneges that I am now releasing by using what you said. Consciously releasing the worry about death and instead embrace living right now in this moment.

5  Genius Catalyst / Michael's Coaching Tips / Chasing Butterflies on: May 10, 2010, 11:23:59 AM
Hello,

Thanks Michael for today's tip - Chasing Butterflies. I do see the benefit of simply taking time to 'be'. I especially appreciated the bullet point:

"If you try to ignore your own wisdom and only learn through books, teachers, and other forms of other people's insight, you are very likely to succeed - at confusing yourself in a myriad of conflicting ideas about what it "really" takes to be happy and successful."

Too true. I have simplified my wisdom circle because I agree that you can listen to sssssssssssssssooooooooooooooo many people that you end up still CONFUSED.

Thanks Michael,
Electra

Hello,

I read this week's article; thanks Michael for sharing your story and the knowledge that 'worrying' is doing an action. Your article reminded me that I can choose to do something different with my mind.

Also, I look forward to hearing more about your television show. I hope the pilot is received well.

Take care,
Electra

P.S. I send you supporting energy for your face to return to its natural healthy form very soon.

8  Genius Catalyst / This, That and the Other / Huge Thank You on: June 11, 2009, 02:15:54 PM
Hello,

I am thankful for your radio show Michael Neill, Super Coach. I have been listening to you for close to two years now and see the benefits of implementing the knowledge you share.

This year I transitioned out of my full-time job into my virtual assistant practice. I LOVE my new job after planning this move since 2005.

Last year in one of your shows (can't remember the title right now) you shared that it is important to create a supportive circle/environment for yourself. This idea resonated with me and your radio show has definitely been one of my supportive circle links that have helped me not feel subjected to random thoughts in my head and how to have a healthy mental conversation with myself.

Thanks Micheal,
Electra

10  Coaching / Ask the Coach / Re: Developing a Money Story on: September 07, 2008, 11:49:51 AM
Hello,

I haven't received a reply to my question so I am asking it differently. I think Michael is back at the office as well so I ask that one of his assistants pass along my question to get his advice.

What is the NLP method of developing a conscious healthy relationship with money? I have heard the suggestion to develop a money story; what is the NLP equivalent to developing a healthy money story?

Thanks,
Electra

13  Genius Catalyst / Supercoach Radio Show / Why Happiness Leads to Success on: July 26, 2008, 08:30:42 PM
Thanks Michael for your radio program explaining why happiness does lead to success. I enjoyed learning the scientific benefits of tapping into your internal happiness. I also thank you for explaining heavy negative thoughts and heavy emotions will pass as long as you refrain from giving them attention.

This radio program and the one titled 'Don't Worry Make Money' have helped me this week and provided useful strategies for me to be o.k. and get things accomplished despite what may be visiting my thoughts and feelings.

Refrain from giving negative thoughts and heavy emotions attention and stop telling yourself stories are useful tools for me.

Enjoy your vacation Michael and thank you.

14  Genius Catalyst / This, That and the Other / Re: Facebook and the decline of just about everything else ! on: July 07, 2008, 04:00:39 PM
Hello,

The virtual assistant (VA) industry is also talking about online social networks. Most VA forums are sharing knowledge about the best ways to use Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc. However, I did see one VA's blog comment that the Web 2.0 activities have not replaced her interaction on the forums she follows because of the relationships developed from those sites. I identified with this statement because forums like this one give me an opportunity to make a statement to peole that share my interest. Although I post here randomly, I feel my comments are viewed by people that share my respect for NLP. I do have profiles on Myspace, Linkedin and Facebook, but I think forums like GeniusCatalyst have an irreplaceable role in the world of social networking.

Shifting to a related topic, I am seeking a NLP trainer to do a teleseminar to my meetup group. The group's name is the Intelligence and Support for Professionals. I love the way NLP trainers break life down to a manageable situation to deal with by changing the language and view in the mind. If any trainers are interested in presenting this new language and mental perspective contact me at edford@virtualofficecenter.net.

All of you are invited to join the group as well by going to http://entrepreneur.meetup.com/1881/

Take care.

15  Genius Catalyst / Supercoach Radio Show / Comfort Zone on: June 01, 2008, 08:37:23 PM
Hello,

I loved Michael's show last Thursday explaining the 'comfort zone'. Like many people he described at the beginning of the show, I understood the term 'comfort zone' to be something you needed to step out of in order to achieve a goal.

However, in true Michael Neill, NLP Training style, I was enlightened to a completely new way to interpret the phrase and learned how to get in my comfort zone - check in with my body find a comfortable place in it and simply feel it. Allow that one place and that feeling to spread throughout my body. How wonderful is that!!!

Three words: effective, enlightening, simple

Thanks for that Michael,
Electra

16  Coaching / Business Building Genius / Strengthening Infrastructure on: March 23, 2008, 08:01:30 PM
Hello Everyone,

I participated in the 90-day money game when it first started. However, I gained much more than I expected in that game/challenge.

Thinking about ways to do the money game led me to a path to strengthen my business' infrastructure. I ended up focusing on exactly how I wanted to participate in the world through my business, I met a mentor that has worked in my industry for over 20 years and things progressed well enough for me to work part-time at my W-2 this year.

Thanks Michael for the 90-day money game.

Take care,
Electra

17  Genius Catalyst / Supercoach Radio Show / Re: Michaels Radio Show on: June 08, 2007, 12:08:48 AM
Michael,

Thank you for my books - I received them last week. It was nice speaking with you about How to Get Out of Control. Each day I see the benefits of 'being present' - completely in one situation at a time.

I also enjoyed today's show Results Accelerator. NLP is a cool coaching method; it makes everything not that big of a deal. Today's program reminded me of a phrase I heard from Rev. Michael Beckwith which is "when you think so what it opens you up to what's so".

Continue to make a difference.

Thanks,
Electra

Hello,

Do you have an archive where I can get a link to a specific newsletter? The newsletter titled Marketing Excellence was great for me and I want a link to post that article as a reference in my newsletter next week. I believe that is the correct title but just in case I'm looking for the article that gave the following 4 areas:

1. What are the benefits from your products/services?
2. What is unique about you?
3. Who knows what you do?
4. Tell a better story

Also, thanks Michael. I appreciate the way you explain the intelligence you share and the way you decrease the importance of harmful words/situations.

20  Coaching / Ask the Coach / Re: Suggestions Gratefully Received on: December 20, 2006, 11:10:22 AM
Hello Jay,

Thank you for your information. I'm going to read this again and let it soak in...I understood the information about coming form a place of strength rather than a place of guilt but the visual of the head of a goat or something got me confused. You're right it stopped me from thinking about my temporary situation  Grin.

I printed out the check and I will make copies. I'm going to practice paying off my debts Grin until it manifests into my reality.

I'm curious about this website also - "the secret" what is web address?

Thanks,
Electra
