Maybe Mr Neill can help with this one,

I am looking for as few good books that are about method acting and emotional memory.

Who would you suggest I look into?

Difficult to be of greater service than Mr. Sherwood  Cheesy, but here are a few of my favourites.  Note that not all of them speak about emotional memory in the same way, and several of them contradict each other; I include them because they all enable the actor to generate 'appropriate' emotion to the task at hand:

1. An Actor Prepares by Konstantin Stanislavski

2. Respect for Acting by Uta Hagen

3. Acting without Agony by Don Richardson

4. How to Stop Acting by Harold Guskin

If you can, I'd suggest browsing them before you buy - depending on what you're looking for there may be a lot of noise for a small piece of message!
