I've taken your advice, since shadow thoughts are up for me at the moment anyways and this is the worst -
Angry I am a manipulative controlling bitch - just like my mother!

Somehow I can "handle" knowing this about myself - until I add the part about being just like my mother - now that gets me upset & ready to jump back into denial!!

Thanks for the timely advice Michael - I needed the boaster innoculation shot!!  It does seem to fit well into the Yankee Doodle Dandy tune.....but a picture of singing it to "Don't Cry for me Argentina" in front of an adoring crowd really makes my skin crawl! Shocked

And now I'm going to allow myself to add the "sometimes" to the tune! And have a good laugh!!!

Actually, Susan, that really does scan rather well to 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina':

All together now:

I'm a manipulative controlling bitch just like my mother -
Why can't people just place me in charge of their lives?
It would be better -
Oh so much better -
How did they ever
Get by without me?  (as the music swells!)

 Cheesy

love,
michael

Very nice Michael !!
I can almost imagine you singing it out loud as you posted it!!

I also completed the exercise (as I do with every daily tip - they are a good way to start the day) and look forward to reaping the benefits! Although I had to resist the urge to start singing my song in the middle of town when I was recalling the exercise - I settled for a mental bellow and a big smile!! Grin

With eternal gratitude,

Andy
