Hi Folks,

I seem to be having real problems concentrating at present.
I?m sitting trying to write a succession of press releases, articles and teaching notes but find that after a couple of lines my fingers are paused over the keyboard whist my mind goes chasing whatever random thoughts happened to be flapping through my brain at the time. No distraction seems too trivial.
I?ve even broken off mid-article to write this post.  Undecided

Anyone got any hints and tips on keeping the task in hand, in hand?

Take care,

Ti(oh, by the way I was just thinking ?)m

Hi I will post a fuller post in a while- yet you might give this quick technique a little Gp with in the mean time-

imagine that you have a tennis ball in your hand- give it some weight and colour- and just allow it to hover-at the bridge of you nose- just for a minute or so- now allow any felting thoughts just jump into the ball- do this deliberately for a few minutes- than after about allow the ball to start to hover about a foot above your head- just allowing all and any floating thoughts to get sucked into the ball- from time to time draw  your attention on the ball-knowing that all them thoughts are being looked after.

Hi Tim,

Interesting post.

Got a great tip for keeping the task in hand ON your hand, if that may help ?

Get yourself a nice, brightly coloured, non-toxic marker pen and write what you are going to be doing on the back of your left hand.

Simple, but effective (for me anyway)

Cheers,

Thanks Jay, Thanks Mark.

I'll give these a go over the next couple of days and see how I get on.

Thanks again,

Tim.
