Just an update following your great advice on the show Michael. I did some work on how I might do things differently if I had all the love in the world.  I focussed on those who love me and, as I was interviewed by video, I kept a very funny picture of my daughter laughing (she was 2) just next to me.  Every time I looked at it I smiled.

I also did a centring meditation before the interview.  Just a 12 minute session I downloaded onto my iPod and it can be found here for those interested http://www.spiritofangels.com/#FREE

I have never felt so relaxed and I definitely put my best foot forward, as they are flying me to New York on the 11th  for a last interview. I've learned a great lesson and have already booked a spa morning so I can go somewhere in NYC and relax before I hit the last hurdle.

Fear masquerading as opportunity... Wink Cool

Just off to pack that photo...tune in later and will let you know how it all turns out

Installment chapter 2.  Today, I had interview number 3 (when will this end?? Can there be too much opportunity?)  This time a  face to face in London.  I was good until I walked past the interview room beforehand and saw someone else being interviewed.  Gulp.  I got a huge flash of nerves.  So went to a quiet place, pulled out my photo of my nutty little daughter laughing by the pool and voila!  it really just is almost impossible to feel fearful when you are smiling and know that you are loved.  Last interview next week. NYC here I come....

Happy but exhausted.   Smiley

Thanks for the updates Elese.
I passed on Michael's advice to my girlfriend who was about to go for a second interview for a job she really wanted. When the recruitment consultant called her up to tell her how it went he reported that 'they really loved you'. Guess there really is no stopping it  Grin

Thanks Michael.

And good luck Elese.

Thanks Andy, and with gratitude Michael Grin

One thing I didn't mention, which your girlfriend's experience reminded me of, was that not once during the interview did I ever feel that I was not totally and completely myself - as well as feeling comfortable.

What great feedback for her - let us know the sequel!

Peace,

Elese

I'm sorry Elese, I forgot to say in my original post that they offered her a job at the top pay rate that was on the table. She starts in a few weeks  Grin

Hope you are offered the job you love the most!!

Namaste,

I have now proceeded to stage 5 of the interview process and I have fallen into the fear trap a couple of times as I go...not so much in the interviews, but around the process itself... even as I keep moving forward and all the news is good!   Fear tells me 'Maybe this is a bad sign', 'If they really wanted you, they'd have offered you by now' - I constantly amazed by the negative chatter that offers to fill my head if I open the door.

Even as I write I am practicing letting these thoughts go and I am replacing them with, 'I trust this is an opportunity for me' or 'Everything is in perfect alignment'.

Any suggestions, thoughts, practices or affirmations welcome...

I know that this is for me to learn and grow and even if  a thought would challenge that with fear, I turn my attention to loving what is in this moment. What would I do differently if I had all the love in the world? Relax and trust the universe.  oh...and love my life and my current job - which I do!

Hi Elese,

Sounds to me like you have it pretty much covered and that you are sorting out the voice in your head whenever it pops up with another unuseful soundbyte.

What would I do differently if I had all the love in the world? Relax and trust the universe.  oh...and love my life and my current job - which I do!

Then maybe you do have all the love in the world! Maybe you can relax and trust the universe now.

Let us know how stage 5 goes!

love

Wow Guys, I've never had such a great cheering squad! You are awesome... Thank you sooooo much.     I'm leaving London for sunny San Diego on November 1st to start my new life in the States.   It's been absolutely incredible and I can't even tell you how much I'm looking forward to the next steps.

(anyone want to buy my house???) Grin

with love

Michael,

Fantastic!  I have been so busy moving, finding a place to live, getting stuck into the new job and selling my house I didn't even see page 2 of this thread.  Life is well underway here in my new home and I would love to accept your offer.  Let me know how to get in touch and we'll get the diary booked.

It's been the beginning of a great journey!
