It looked impressive when he set the paper on fire. I think it's a good thing he isn't sharing his 'skill' with the world. If it got into the wrong hands... well we can all imagine what would happen then.

This Guy who they have called DJ (Dynamo Jack) practices Qigong. He is a healer using Chi. He seems to be able to shock people with this energy. It even gets picked up in the recording microphone. He sets a piece of paper on fire by hovering his hand and catches bullets from a gun. It's interesting even though I want to know if there is a man behind the curtain.

Well all have a electrical current in us, they can measure this, we all have heat in us, when someone perfroms Reiki you can feel the heat that generates in their hands.
Its amazing when something special happens people look for science to rip it apart... science dont hold the answers to everything but only holds the facts of what its capable of finding out now.
My question is, not how is he doing it, but how are we not doing it?
Its all down to the power of belief, people have and will continue to achieve greater things then that guy through belief, i think curing cancer through meditation is more amazing then setting fire to a piece of paper.

Someone very close to me had four major back operations, this resulted in him struggling to walk at times, he used to have regular injections to help him with the pain. Climbing the stair case to his apartment was serious hard work. I hypnotised him, via msn on cam and on microphone, i took him down 3 times in total over a period of a few days. Since then he has never had any pain on walking, stairs are now easy for him and second nature like to most of us, the pain has never reoccured, and it has been 20 months since i done the hypnosis on him. Now to me, releaving someone of that pain that was crippling them is far better then setting fire to a piece of paper... But science wont be able to prove how i healed him, and does it matter that it cant?

The force is really with you, but if you look for it you wont find it  Wink

The way I see it is this way. If everyone around me suddenly sprouted wings and started flying around I would think it interesting. My first thought would be 'How is this happening?' (along with another side thought of 'is this an LSD flashback?'). This is the scientist in me wanting to know all the mechanics of this transformation. Now if one of these feathered humanoids floats down from the clouds and says to me 'Isn't it marvelous that the blessed Jebaboos has bestowed upon us the miracle of flight using the power of Voost?'. I would want to know exactly what she was talking about. I would want her claims tested so that I can either accept or reject them. So I would now believe that people can fly but I would want to know 'how'. I will accept the possibility of ideas until they are either disproved or proved. I've never had the fortune or misfortune of meeting anyone who can shock me with their touch so seeing a video of it doesn't convince me either way. So to me it's not my mission in life to zap people or fly into the stratosphere so I'll leave that to others. And when they are good at it they can come and see me and tell me how they do it!

'just because they can't prove it doesn't mean he didn't do it'.

Exactly. And another quote that would work just as well is 'just because they can't prove it doesn't mean he did do it'

I say there is a washing machine set to a warm cottons wash under the surface of Mars. And I'll fight you tooth and nail and even attack you with soap powder boxes if you say otherwise. Just because you can't prove it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

It's not about not about ripping it apart. It's about understanding how it works.

Richard Bandler says believe in this or believe in that. He then goes on to explain a process in which it is possible to change a belief. Now I do this technique and find it very powerful and it is in my nature to try to understand how it works. Curiosity killed the cat but this Tom has more than nine lives.

Actually I misquoted it was 'Just because you can't prove it doesn't mean its not true'. and yes of course  working the other way as well.

Well only to a scientist who wants to prove it, maybe, and imagine if anyone (scientists included) could work out how to harness it into a form of medicine or get it work with everyone everytime and from what I hear and see and read you and many other hypnotists or when you practice hypnosis are already doing this really well anyhow, I guess scientists just like an explanation - but like you said  your friends comfort in the end is the most important thing here and it worked.
