Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has heard about this and can explain to me how it works....

A couple of weeks ago, in a cafe, I had a hick-up (I was not drunk...) One of the girls at the table took my left hand, pressed my ring finger with her thumb and index finger, told me to breath deeply a couple of times - and it was gone. I was surprised and credited it to just that - the surprise and the distraction.
But whenever I had a hick-up since then, I've cured myself with that. And it works. Immediately.

How does that work? Does it have to do with EFT or something? Or does it only work because I believe in it?

How did she press your finger? Squeeze the nail? Or somewhere else on the finger?

It might have worked the first time because of the surprise element - a "pattern interrupt"? After that it might just be that you expect it to work. (Hmmm, i hear the bottom of a barrell being scraped!)

Try this - next time you find someone ELSE with hiccups - tell them this story then try it on them. Everytime you see someone with a hiccup, alternate between telling them first and telling them after (if it's different people!) and see if there's a difference? Not exactly a double-blind test but its the best I can think of at the moment.

Love,

Martin

She pressed them like this.

Where do I find somebody with a hick up now? How can you *start* a hick up? I never thought about this question before...
