I will try and make this brief and clear!  I am making changes in my life to move towards becoming more 'me' which includes primarily what I do to earn a living.  I used to work for a large corporate and realising it was not 'me' for many reasons I left.  For the past year I have been working for a small consultancy in a different industry.  Far more enjoyable but still not me.  I have started a cognative hypnotherapy course and absolutely love it.  It has made me realise that I want to work with people outside of business/industry. I am not sure what capacity this is.  Possibly therapist/coach/minister....  My wife and I are a bit tired of keep frantically 'searching' for what is 'us'.  The current job is requiring us to move.  The boss/friend knows my thinking about the future and has suggested that we just 'be' for 3 years and the future will become clear.  He is suggesting I stay in what I am doing for 3 years and then see what evolves.

I understand the concept of staying still and 'being' and letting the future unfold but on the other-hand I feel like I am just beginning to discover something exciting and 'my bliss'.  The course finishes in just under a year so I could not be a therapist until then anyway.

So, do I stop searching 'commit' to 3 years in the current job (there is no hard commitment - but do I mentally 'commit' to help me just 'be').

Any advice?

Hey, Russell -

Sorry your post seems to have gotten lost in the tangle of the forums!

One way I might "re-describe" what you're talking about is to say:

You have a calling to make a difference, and a lowering tolerance for doing things that are outside of your integrity and take you away from that calling.

You are doing some training to begin to make that calling real for you and a viable income source as well.  In the meantime, to maintain your current income source would require you to move.

It seems to me the only questions is "do you want to move right now, given that if you don't you will probably need to find an alternative income source in the short term?"

The rest - the "frantic searching for what is us" - will fade as you relax into allowing yourself to create your life from the inside out.  As you follow your bliss and navigate by joy, you can rest assured that the very essence of "what is us" is steering the boat!

Happy exploring,
michael
