I've just been re-listening to one of the wealth club podcasts about rich thinking. I do feel thatI am already rich and maybe that is the problem as although there are other things in life I would like to do (and more money would help!), I can't get motivated to really do anything to change my situation as I am probably not uncomfortable enough.
ANy thoughts?

Hiya Ladypol!

Sounds to me like you have a negative motivation (away from) strategy versus a positive (towards) motivation strategy. In my experience, you can either 1) change your strategy to a positive, 2) leverage your existing strategy, or 3) both. But my first question is, why? If you are happy now, what says you must change? As you say, you are already rich so anything else is a bonus. Enjoy what you have right now and ignore the social idea of "bigger, better, faster, grow, change, evolve"--just enjoy the heaven you have now. Smiley   Life will throw some changes your way soon enough, and then you will be motivated to act for sure!

Thanks Clark and you are exactly right. I know that is it was one of my coaching clients saying what I was saying I would tell them not to worry about the 'shoulds'. I just wonder whether somehow I am limiting myself by being happy with where I am. I'm not sure that makes sense!
There's a part of me that feels that I underachieve and therefore if I could get motivated I could do a lot more. I don't necesarily mean that I want money for its own sake - in fact I don't but I would like the freedom that a bit more money would bring so that I could travel, take more workshops for example.
Since posting the original message I have, strangely enough, felt more energetic and motivated anyway. It's amazing what writing things down does for us isn't it? Smiley
